Anyone who has been paying attention to our chart and station over the course of the last year has probably noticed that more and more songs have been charting that have "MP3 download" listed as the album citation. In fact, it's gotten to the point where I have had to start putting website addresses into the ID3 tags on the MP3s in order to keep Live365 from removing our station from the search database (as too many tracks from the same album are against the DMCA rules).
I've also decided to incorporate a similar change on the website on the playlist pages. The album citation will still say "MP3 download" - but a noticable difference will be the fact that the words will now be a link to a website from which the track in question can be downloaded. Note that these are NOT direct links to the songs, and that the pages you will link to will not necessarily take you to the exact page you need to go to. For example, the link for Ecstatic Mood will take you to the band's website, which then has links to three different websites from which you can download songs - at least two of the three (I haven't checked the third) contain the song "Everytime" (currently on our new music program).
These artist based links should remain fairly stable over time, while linking directly to the download page for the specific song may render a link useless while the song is still being played on the station. Plus, by going to the artist rather than the song, we hope to encourage you to check out other material by these artists whenever available.
