AeschRock is our newest specialty program, debuting on the station this Thursday, January 5th.
As rock music has changed drastically over the last forty years, we feel that rather than try to sandwich elements of all kinds of rock into a single two hour program each week, that it would be better for each program to focus on one or two themes. Most programs will be two hours of a single theme, but some programs will be two one-hour segments each based on a specific theme.
For our first show, we're concentrating on classic rock - which to us means the sixties and seventies rock. (We know some classic rock stations have been moving more eighties material in, but it feels odd to us to call the stuff from when we were starting to pay attention to music, "classic" rock)
Our second show, which will air on January 12th, has been selected as an "alternative rock" program - focusing on 80's, 90's and current "modern" and "alternative" rock material. This includes the kinds of things you would've heard on Modern Rock stations (such as KROQ in LA and KNDD in Seattle) during the late 1980's and early 1990's, plus similar kinds of material from the modern day.
We hope you check out the show, and feel free to let us know what you think!
